Julia Fabris McBride, PCC is a nationally recognized leadership coach, speaker, and co-author of When Everyone Leads (2023). Her work centers on helping leaders and organizations make meaningful progress on complex adaptive challenges with clarity, courage, and purpose.

A former executive at the Kansas Leadership Center and faculty member with the Academy of Adaptive Leadership (UNSW), Julia is an ICF-certified coach known for her experiential and reflective approach. She brings a rare blend of rigor and humanity to her work, shaped not only by years in leadership education but also by an early career in the performing arts.

Julia has partnered with executives, physicians, educators, artists, and community practitioners to clarify purpose, strengthen culture, and navigate complexity. Her coaching invites reflection, curiosity, and courageous experimentation, grounded in the belief that leadership is not a position but an activity available to anyone, anywhere.

Her professional training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, along with groundbreaking collaboration with youth in Chicago theatre, continues to shape her work. She understands leadership not only as strategy and structure, but as presence, embodiment, and voice.

Julia has taught leadership and management at the University of Chicago, Columbia College Chicago, the University of Massachusetts, and the James P. Shannon Leadership Institute. She holds leadership certificates from the University of Chicago’s Graham School and Harvard Kennedy School and is certified to facilitate Myers-Briggs (MBTI) and Immunity to Change processes.

She lives in Matfield Green, Kansas, in the heart of the Flint Hills tallgrass prairie, where she and her husband, sculptor Bill McBride, own and operate Matfield Station Art & Lodging.
