Frequently Asked Questions
FOUR WAYS TO WORK WITH US
PATTERN ANALYSIS
What is Pattern Analysis and why do most people start there?
Your leadership patterns are running the show. Most leaders know what they do under pressure. Few know why — or what it costs them. Pattern Analysis surfaces the patterns shaping your performance so you can lead by choice instead of reflex. It’s the starting point for almost all of our work, because every coaching conversation, workshop, and Lab session lands harder once you can see your own operating system.
What’s the difference between the self, 360, and interactive assessments?
The self-assessment looks inward — what you already know or believe about your leadership skills and capacities. The 360 pulls targeted feedback from managers, peers, and direct reports, so you can see the gap between your intent and your impact. The interactive assessment uses AI to put you inside dynamic leadership scenarios and tests how you actually decide in real time. Most leaders do more than one. They sharpen different mirrors.
Is the assessment data private?
Yes. The interactive platform is secure and uses strong data protections. Your results are yours. We never share individual results with your organization unless you choose to.
THE LAB
Who is the Lab for?
Accomplished women leaders — scientific, government, nonprofit, corporate — who already manage teams, budgets, and complicated stakeholder relationships and are ready for the next level. Most participants have 5+ years of leadership experience and a real, current challenge they want to bring into the room.
What makes the Lab different from other leadership programs?
This isn’t a workshop on personality types. It’s a leadership laboratory where you practice the hardest skills under expert eyes — staying strategic under pressure, holding composure when the stakes are high, seeing systems instead of symptoms, leading through uncertainty and resistance. Mastery comes through determined practice. The Lab gives you the practice, the frameworks, the coaches, and a committed peer community of 25-35 women across nine months.
What’s the format, time commitment, and investment?
Nine months. A virtual intensive to open (11 hours over 3 days), monthly 2-hour case consultations, and a 2-day in-person capstone in New York to close. The fee is $10,000. Need-based discounts are available for qualified candidates. Travel and accommodation for the NY capstone are not included.
EXECUTIVE COACHING
What does coaching with WILL actually look like?
One-on-one work with a senior coach trained in Adaptive Leadership, Crucial Conversations, negotiation, influence, and systems thinking. Every engagement is supervised through a monthly confidential coaching-team review — so you’re getting the thinking of the whole bench, not just one coach. You can start with a free intro session before committing.
Which coaching package is right for me?
Four options, depending on where you are. “Toe in the Water” ($3,000) is three sessions plus an Insight Leadership Skill Assessment — a real taste of the work. “Growth” ($15,000) is twelve sessions over six months with a 360, mentor reviews, and the assessment — for leaders ready to go deep. “On Call” ($4,250) is five sessions on an as-needed basis, reserved for Growth graduates. “Inside Out” Group Coaching ($10,000 per participant, needs a minimum of 3 participants) runs six monthly sessions in a small group of 3-6 — the Harvard Inside Out framework, with substantial course materials.
Do I have to be a Lab participant to do coaching?
No. Coaching stands on its own. Some clients come to coaching first and decide later whether the Lab is right for them. Others do coaching after the Lab to keep the work alive.
WORKSHOPS
What workshops do you run and what’s the format?
Targeted 3-hour virtual workshops, each $1,500. The four currently published are examples of what we run: Adaptive Leadership (smarter decision-making for complex challenges), Emotional Regulation (responding better when activated), Building an Exceptional Group Culture (based on Daniel Coyle’s work), and Mastering Crucial Conversations. We have a wider range we deliver on request, and we design new workshops to fit specific leadership challenges. Each one is a focused, practical skill build — small enough to practice, short enough to fit a busy calendar.
Can you run workshops for my team or organization?
Yes. We can deliver every workshop as a private team session and we customize the case work to your context. If you don’t see what you need on the workshops page, tell us what’s coming up for your team — we design custom workshops to match.
